While on patrol at Weather Station #4 (located about 800 miles NE of St. John's Newfoundland) the USS Davenport crashes through heavy seas, 19 October 1945. Note the windsock being stretched taut by the 60 knot winds.

The USS Davenport (PF-69) on-station in the North Atlantic, as seen from either the USS Hingham (PF-30) or USS Greensboro (PF-101).
